On a bend of the Yaquina River and surrounded by lush forested hills, Toledo is seven miles inland from the Central Oregon Coast.

Toledo's weather is generally mild. The town is protected from the harsh coastal winds, blocked by its forests and mountainous foundation, so Toledo is often warm and sunny. Winters are mild, with temperatures of 30-40 degrees, and summers are pleasantly temperate, at 70-75 degrees.
